S1 Discretionary Places Allocation 2025-2026

 

1. The number of S1 Discretionary Places offered by our school in 2026-2027 is 40.

 

2. Each student is allowed to apply for a total of TWO schools for S1 Discretionary Places. Applicant who fails to do so will automatically result in forfeiture of all rights to discretionary places.

 

3. All S1 Discretionary Place candidates may apply for schools outside of their own net.

 

4. Distribution of application forms
From 15.11.2025 to 16.1.2026 (Office closes on Saturday afternoons, Sundays and public holidays), 9:00 am – 12:00 nn and 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm

 

5. Please contact your primary school for information regarding the Student Reference Number.

 

6. An application will only be considered if the duly completed application form is returned to our School Office together with the photocopies of the following documents (if available)
a. School reports of Primary 5 (First and Second terms)
b. First term school report of Primary 6 (can be submitted later)
c. Extra-curricular activities in Primary 5 and Primary 6/photocopy of Certificates and Awards
Letters of recommendation from the Primary School’s Principal are NOT required

 

7. Submission of application forms
a. In person
Please submit a stamped (with sufficient postage) self-addressed envelope with student’s name printed on it.
b. Online submission
For parents who have registered as SSPA e-Platform users and bound their account with “iAM Smart+”, they may choose to submit S1 Discretionary Places applications via the SSPA e-Platform.

 

8. Collection of application forms
From 2.1.2026 to 16.1.2026 (Office closes on Saturday afternoons, Sundays and public holidays),
9:00 am – 12:00 nn and 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm

 

9. An interview will be arranged on 7 March 2026 (Sat).

 

10. All applicants will be invited to attend an interview. The admission criteria and weighting are

a. Rank Order (45 %)

b. Interview Performance (40 %) (The interview will be conducted in both English and Cantonese)

c. Extra-curricular Activities (15 %)

d. Conduct grade needs to be Grade B or above

 

11. The school will notify parents of all successful applicants in writing and by phone on 31 March 2026 (Tuesday).

 

12. The personal data provided by means of this form will be used for processing the application. It may be disclosed to the Education Bureau or other schools authorized to process personal data for allocation/placement and other

education-related purposes.

The provision of personal data by means of this form is obligatory. If you do not provide sufficient or correct

information, the school may not be able to process the application.
