Activities

Two meaningful sharing sessions were held during the morning assembly, providing students with a valuable platform to engage with and present key aspects of the curriculum. These sessions not only allowed students to deepen their understanding of academic content but also served as an opportunity to promote traditional Chinese cultural values. One of the central themes highlighted was filial piety, a cornerstone of Chinese ethics that emphasizes respect and care for one’s parents and elders.

During the sessions, students thoughtfully introduced the importance of filial piety in both historical and modern contexts, linking it to personal responsibility, family harmony, and moral development. Their presentations reflected a strong grasp of cultural heritage and demonstrated how these values are integrated into the broader educational framework. By incorporating such cultural elements into the curriculum and school activities, the initiative aims to foster a sense of identity, respect, and social responsibility among students.

S2 students were asked to design thank-you cards to express gratitude and appreciation to their parents—an activity aligned with a core value of the S2 curriculum—in collaboration with the Visual Arts Department. The students approached the task with care and creativity, producing cards that were thoughtful in both message and design. Many showed a good sense of color, layout, and personal expression, making the activity a meaningful way to reinforce family values through art.
