The Science Week of the year has been held from 13th to 16th Oct. It was co-organized by four of our ECA clubs including Astronomy Club, Biology Club, Chemistry Club and Physics Club.

The implementation of Science Week was a new achievement because activities were usually held independently by different clubs, in which we have organized seven different activities among five days. This greatly aroused students' interest towards science. During the days, we made use of daily examples to illustrate the scientific theory behind, so as to promote and learn science from a different and interesting way.

The key to success mainly depended on the effort of different committee members. Majority of activities were led by students, from proposing creative ideas, purchasing and making materials for game booths, and explaining scientific theories to students. The adopt of "LED approach" allowed student leaders to take the initiative to explore and learn through their firsthand experience.

本年度科學週於二零一四年十月十三日至十月十七日,由天文學會、生物學會、化學學會及物理學會聯手策劃及舉行。

科學週的推行摒除了以往各學會各自策劃活動的情況。在四學會的共同努力下,在短短五日內舉辦了七項有關科學的活動,使我校全體同學對科學的學習氣氛大大提高。一些大家在日常生活留意到的「瑣事」,其實在當中也蘊含許多的科學原理,我們藉此之機讓它們盡顯於同學的眼前。

此外,科學週的推行實有賴各科學學會的職員在忙裡抽閒的付出:由天馬行空的構想,親力親為的購買材料試驗,及至最終向同學介紹活動—這些都秉承了學校「讓學生成為學習經歷的設計者」的精神,讓學生能主動探究,在第一身的體驗中使他們能獲得最大的得著。
